Rainmaking was presented with a new concept for investment. The project required fixed assets and software components, had a complex sales strategy and was in a relatively new market. The team needed an extensive understanding of the financial feasibility of this project and needed an investment case for a Series A fundraise (£10M+). Due to the large commitment there was an even stronger need for in depth validation of the strategy.

Solution

We worked with the team to understand and conceptualise the project, scoping the product, target market, intended users & customers, acquisition channels, growth expectations, and unit economics. We built a multiple scenario financial model, business plan, investment case, and the financial outputs required for the fundraise. We further advised the team on valuation and investment terms going into the next phase of the project.

The Team successfully presented the proposal to the Corporate Investment Committee and the project was approved for funding!
