Helping Feedstock gear up for growth and give their VC investors confidence


FeedStock is a B2B Fintech startup enabling financial institutions to improve their Equity Research compliance and leverage their research user data. A year into launching their product and experiencing growing customer interest, the team were focused on converting pilots into paying enterprise clients, and were keen to raise additional capital. They however did not have an FD and needed a clear view on their numbers, wanted to give their board & future investors confidence, and required a new investment case going into the next round.


Ralston conducted a thorough review of FeedStock’s business, including the product & hiring roadmap, pricing strategy, sales pipeline, and historical financials. We then agreed on finance priorities and a clear roadmap of deliverables. We first cleaned up the Company’s chart of accounts, consolidated important KPI and financial data, and built FeedStock a new Financial Model including a detailed forecast and a suite of reports for the Company’s board and investors. We then worked with Management on an ongoing basis as FD, setting a granular budget and new growth targets as part of a revised investment case, and tracking performance on a monthly basis. Fundraising kicked off shortly after, and we supported the team through the process, which included extensive buyer financial due diligence. The team ultimately successfully raised a £1M Seed round and have seen their growth accelerate since.
